2008 Race Recaps:
March 21 - 22 (Clarksville, TN) - Wes Steidinger officially opened his 2008 campaign at StormPay.com Speedway in Clarksville, TN during the 4th annual Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic, an event that pays $10,000 to the winner.
After winning the fourth and final heat race Friday night, Wes was slated to roll off from the fourth starting spot on the grid. Wes has always run strong in Clarksville and relied on that experience to keep his ARC powered Rayburn up front throughout, but still Wes didn't have quite enough to surpass fast qualifer Don O'Neal and came home second.
It was the second runner-up finish in a row for Steidinger who also claimed runner-up honors during last year's UMP Summernationals stop. Defending UMP Champion Dennis Erb Jr. came home in the third spot.
Steidinger will now prepare for the Illini 100 as the World of Outlaws Late Model Series comes to the Farmer City Raceway on April 4 - 5th.
